Community Care is Looking for Providers Serving Dane County

Community Care will begin providing Family Care services in Dane County as early as May. This means members enrolled in Family Care, or new members enrolling in Family Care, will be able to choose Community Care as their Managed Care Organization. SWTI COVID19 Emergence Series Presents: A Mindfulness Based Retreat for Health and Human Service Providers with Paul Norton

In a beautiful park setting, Dr. Paul Norton will present and lead mindfulness based approaches for resilience and emotional regulation. It will be both useful for people who are health care employees as well as people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The emphasis will be on conscious breathing and body-based mindfulness practices. This will be an immersive experience during which participants will learn and practice mindfulness-based techniques and how to integrate them into their daily lives.

Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm 
Location: McCarty Park Pavilion, 2567 S 78th St, West Allis, WI 53219
Individual Participant Cost: $25
Agency Rate: Up to 5 staff $100.00. 6-10 staff $150.00. 

CEU’s: 3.0 hours of CEU’s for continuing education for licensed professional counselors (LPCs) and licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) are available for an additional $10.00. If accredited CEU’s are not required a certificate of attendance will be emailed to attendees. 

Your Presenter:
Dr. Paul Norton has been a mindfulness practitioner for 31 years and has taught over 2,000 people in various courses since 1996. A retired pediatrician, he has a good understanding of the various day-to-day difficulties we all experience and how applying mindfulness helps body, spirit and mind. He is also a practicing Zen Buddhist.
